About the Original Photograph

This artwork is based on an original photograph of Lemmy Kilmister, the legendary founder, bassist and vocalist of Motörhead, captured by acclaimed music photographer Fabien Chareix during a live performance at Sziget Festival, Budapest.

About the Artwork

To commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Victor Vasarely, Hiren Kothari transforms Fabien Chareix's original photograph into a contemporary geometric composition inspired by the principles of Op Art.

Rather than simply applying visual effects, the artwork reconstructs the image through intersecting planes, optical rhythm and structured colour relationships. Deep greens, blacks and luminous golds create a dynamic visual field that echoes both the intensity of Lemmy's performance and the illusionary movement characteristic of Vasarely's pioneering work.
