A low-angle performance portrait charged by red light and a burst of white illumination behind the guitar. The instrument dominates the frame as musician and machine become one, translating the force of Metallica into colour, movement and scale.

Kirk Hammett bends over his guitar as red light burns across the stage and a brilliant white flare erupts behind the instrument. Seen from below, the guitar becomes monumental—a painted object, a weapon of sound and an extension of the performer himself. The photograph transforms the speed and force of Metallica into a visual impact that feels as immediate as the first strike of a chord.
