If Women Ruled

"There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish."Michelle Obama

"I raise up my voice—not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard."Malala Yousafzai

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."Eleanor Roosevelt

There are moments in history when society pauses to ask difficult questions.

Not because the answers are simple.

But because asking them reveals who we are.

What if the world were designed differently?

What if power was measured not only by authority, but by compassion?

What if leadership embraced empathy alongside ambition?

What if equality was no longer an aspiration, but an everyday reality?

These questions inspired If Women Ruled, a contemporary exhibition created by Hiren Kothari, Founder and Creative Director of Gallery Privé.

Rather than offering political answers, the exhibition presents an artistic vision—one that invites visitors to imagine a world where empathy, creativity, resilience and understanding are valued as highly as influence and success.

More Than Beauty

"Well-behaved women seldom make history."Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

Throughout history, women have changed the course of civilisation.

They have led nations, transformed science, composed music, built businesses, challenged injustice and inspired generations through courage, determination and creativity.

Yet the story has not always been equal.

Across the world, many women continue to face discrimination, unequal access to education, gender-based violence, unequal pay, underrepresentation in leadership and restrictions on personal freedom. These experiences differ widely between countries and cultures, but together they remind us that equality remains an ongoing journey rather than a completed achievement.

The purpose of If Women Ruled is not to suggest that women are inherently better leaders than men. Instead, it celebrates qualities that deserve greater recognition in every society—compassion, resilience, emotional intelligence, collaboration and imagination.

These are not simply feminine qualities.

They are human qualities.

Art That Asks Questions

Great art rarely tells us what to think.

Instead, it encourages us to think differently.

The exhibition asks visitors to consider:

How do we define leadership?

Why are some voices heard more easily than others?

Can kindness coexist with strength?

What does equality truly look like?

And perhaps most importantly—

What kind of world do we want future generations to inherit?

Three Collections. Three Perspectives.

Every artwork within the exhibition has been conceived, designed and created exclusively by Hiren Kothari. Together, the three collections form a single artistic narrative that explores different dimensions of womanhood through contemporary fine art photography.

Mirror Muse

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."Eleanor Roosevelt

Mirror Muse explores identity and self-discovery.

Mirrors become symbols of reflection rather than vanity.

Every composition encourages viewers to look beyond appearance and discover confidence, vulnerability and authenticity. The collection reminds us that the strongest relationships begin with understanding ourselves.

Using dramatic monochrome palettes, elegant fashion and carefully balanced compositions, Mirror Muse celebrates women who define themselves on their own terms.

Fractured Reality

"The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud."Coco Chanel

Modern life asks women to become many things at once.

Professional.

Creator.

Leader.

Mother.

Partner.

Dreamer.

Advocate.

Fractured Reality reflects these overlapping identities through layered imagery, fragmented reflections and surreal visual compositions.

Rather than portraying brokenness, the fractured forms symbolise complexity. They remind us that identity is never one-dimensional, and that strength often emerges from embracing every part of ourselves.

The collection challenges viewers to question perception itself.

What we see is rarely the complete story.

Desert Noir

"A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform."Diane Mariechild

Inspired by the vast landscapes of the Middle East, Desert Noir celebrates resilience, dignity and quiet confidence.

Sweeping desert horizons become symbols of freedom.

Architectural simplicity meets contemporary couture.

Light and shadow become metaphors for hope and endurance.

Rather than portraying isolation, Desert Noir celebrates possibility—the courage to walk one's own path regardless of expectations.

Every image reflects elegance without excess and strength without aggression.

Designed as One Complete Vision

Although each collection possesses its own distinct visual language, they have all been created exclusively by Hiren Kothari as chapters of a single exhibition.

Together, Mirror Muse, Fractured Reality and Desert Noir explore identity, perception, freedom and resilience through a cinematic approach to contemporary fine art photography.

Every location, every composition, every colour palette and every narrative has been carefully imagined to create an immersive experience that invites reflection long after visitors leave the gallery.

Fashion as Storytelling

Fashion has always communicated more than style.

It speaks of identity.

Culture.

Confidence.

Freedom.

Throughout If Women Ruled, couture becomes an artistic language that helps tell stories without words.

Flowing silhouettes, sculptural forms and carefully chosen environments transform each artwork into a visual narrative that celebrates individuality while encouraging meaningful conversation.

A Celebration of Humanity

"There is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind."Virginia Woolf

This exhibition is ultimately about possibility.

Not about replacing one perspective with another.

But about recognising the value of perspectives that have too often been overlooked.

It celebrates women not as symbols of perfection, but as individuals whose experiences, ideas and achievements continue to shape our world.

The Artist

Every artwork featured in If Women Ruled, including the complete Mirror Muse, Fractured Reality and Desert Noir collections, has been conceived, designed and created exclusively by Hiren Kothari for Gallery Privé.

Combining fine art photography with cinematic composition, architecture, fashion and contemporary culture, Kothari has created a body of work that invites viewers to pause, reflect and imagine a world where empathy and creativity are recognised as essential strengths.

These collections are not simply photographs.

They are visual conversations.

Experience the Exhibition

If Women Ruled invites every visitor to look beyond the image and discover the ideas within it.

It is an exhibition about strength without arrogance.

Beauty without conformity.

Leadership without domination.

And hope without limits.

We invite you to experience Mirror Muse, Fractured Reality and Desert Noir, and discover how contemporary fine art can inspire dialogue, challenge perceptions and celebrate the remarkable strength, creativity and individuality of women.
